Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Leading and actively engaging in the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.

• Architecting and implementing scalable, robust backend solutions capable of accommodating increasing user loads and evolving business requirements.

• Upholding high coding standards, performing code reviews, and ensuring best practices for code maintainability and readability.

• Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing code and algorithms to enhance system efficiency.

• Implementing monitoring and debugging tools to proactively detect and resolve issues, ensuring high system availability.

• Developing and sustaining comprehensive test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to guarantee the reliability of backend systems.

• Offering guidance and mentorship to junior developers to assist in their technical skill development.

• Analyzing intricate technical challenges and proposing effective solutions to address them.

• Documenting code, APIs, and technical processes to promote knowledge sharing within the team and support the onboarding of new developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the EMEA region.

• Strong experience with TypeScript is essential.

• Previous experience in the blockchain domain with a technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem (or other ecosystems) is advantageous.

• Extensive professional background in a similar role (as a senior or lead).

• Familiarity with document databases and caching mechanisms.

• Experience in software design and architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of testing frameworks and principles.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to facilitate effective communication with team members and stakeholders during meetings and in documentation.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science is a plus.

• Experience with smart contract development is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Golang is a plus.
