Senior Backend Developer, PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

• Engage in all aspects of the design and execution of advanced products.

• Employ exceptional problem-solving capabilities to contribute to the analysis and design of integrated solutions.

• Aid in the collection, review, and analysis of requirements from both business users and teams responsible for other application systems.

• Monitor and support multiple concurrent activities.

• Collaborate with fellow developers on team initiatives.

• Identify and apply suitable testing methodologies.

• Consistently demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Investigate new technologies as time allows.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree from a two-year college or university along with 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Familiarity with computer networking principles.

• Outstanding communication abilities, capable of clearly articulating and conveying technical information (both verbally and in writing) to the development team.

• Strong understanding of SDLC tools, techniques, methodologies, and best practices.

• A high sense of ownership regarding assigned problems and requests.

• Focused on managing and resolving issues in accordance with SLAs.

• Over 5 years of experience in Object Oriented Programming and RestAPI development.

• More than 5 years of experience with PHP.

• At least 5 years of experience with MySQL (Aurora) and MongoDB (DocumentDB).

• Significant ORM experience in Doctrine or Eloquent, including the conversion of SQL to DBAL.

• Proficient in working with both relational and NoSQL databases, including crafting optimized queries and resolving complex data-related challenges.

• Experienced in query writing for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiar with Symfony or Laravel frameworks.

• Experience with version control and CI/CD deployments.

• Comfortable working in Docker development environments.

• Proficient in using JetBrains IDEs.
