Senior Backend Architect – PK

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Take lead ownership of backend systems.

• Make independent architectural decisions.

• Design systems with a focus on long-term scalability.

• Transform ambiguous product requirements into production-ready backend solutions.

• Design and manage backend services using NestJS and TypeScript, from schema creation to deployment.

• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs within a microservices architecture.

• Oversee database design, optimization, and reliability using Postgres.

• Establish technical direction beyond mere implementation details.

• Set and uphold quality standards for both AI-generated and manually produced code.

• Engage in system design, infrastructure decision-making, testing strategies, and enhancing developer productivity.

• Work within an AI-first workflow while maintaining high engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Development.

• Proficient in Node.js.

• At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with databases.

• At least 3 years of experience using NestJS.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with GraphQL.

• At least 3 years of experience with Postgres.

• Experience in a Lead Engineer or Architect role.

• Strong familiarity with AI tools in software engineering workflows.

• Capable of leveraging AI to enhance implementation, debugging, documentation, and problem-solving processes.

• Degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
