This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including problem identification, technical design, ticket creation, implementation, rollout, and documentation.
• Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions following industry best practices.
• Automate the deployment, scaling, and management of application infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance cloud systems to align with business and compliance standards.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct root cause analyses to ensure swift resolutions and long-term preventive measures.
• Embed security best practices into the infrastructure lifecycle to ensure adherence to data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering and product teams to identify needs and provide updates on progress.
• Produce detailed documentation of technical procedures, configurations, and deployed solution architectures.
• Work collaboratively across departments to pinpoint opportunities for infrastructure automation and cloud solutions that address real challenges.
• Occasionally create and manage your own tickets and backlog items.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and/or site reliability engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., AKS, EKS), including deployment models and monitoring/observability.
• Proficient in launching full-stack applications and data ecosystems utilizing:
• - GitHub Actions
• - Azure Terraform Modules
• - Azure Landing Zones
• - Azure Networking
• - Azure App Insights
• - Azure Front Door
• - Azure PaaS / PLDMC Services
• - Azure Data Factory
• Demonstrated experience scaling platforms on Azure with a solid understanding of reference architectures.
• Expertise in fostering a DevOps culture and enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Experience in designing monitoring solutions for effective cloud infrastructure management.
• Proven track record in optimizing system reliability, scalability, and performance through DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders and clearly conveying technical progress.
• Comfortable making recommendations to team members and leadership.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
