Senior Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team as an Automation (QA) Engineer.

• Develop automated tests for modifications, updates, and enhancements of existing products.

• Ensure the maintenance of security protocols.

• Engage in discussions, proposals, and project planning.

• Act as a technical resource for inquiries.

• Construct test environments (test harnesses).

• Create, uphold, and execute test suites, including Smoke, Sanity, and Regression tests.

• Conduct various forms of testing: Black Box, Integration/End-to-End, Performance, and UI testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of object-oriented programming languages and process management methodologies.

• Knowledge of testing methodologies and associated tools.

• Experience with TDD/ATDD or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) along with test-driven programming.

• Capability to identify risks and defects within an application.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Enthusiasm for testing, development, and design.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins.

• Experience in automating tests for Spark applications (Python or Scala) is advantageous.

• Knowledge of application instrumentation and observability tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, etc.) is a plus.

• Background in test automation for messaging and event-driven systems is also a plus.
