
Senior Associate, M&A Tax

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise both international and domestic M&A transactions, encompassing tax due diligence and tax structuring services.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to every Leo Berwick client and partnership.
• Deliver timely and high-quality tax advice, consistently striving to exceed client expectations.
• Collaborate closely with Partners, Directors, and Vice Presidents on business development and various technical tax matters related to Subchapter C, Subchapter K, as well as inbound and outbound international tax issues.
• Analyze and assist clients with the quantitative and qualitative assessment of tax data in their financial projections for the transaction.
• Examine tax aspects of merger agreements and legal documents, and provide tax opinion memorandums.
• Foster the development, motivation, and training of Associates as necessary.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax Law, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in tax due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-merger integration within a Big 4 firm, corporate tax function, or Big Law environment, or a federal tax background with a desire to transition into M&A tax.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing complex projects, including budget management and prioritization.
• Capability to clearly and effectively communicate intricate tax matters to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong research, analytical, and presentation abilities.
• Proven success in a fast-paced, professional services environment with competing priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Results-oriented, deadline-driven, and adept at managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
