Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Join Zup's AI team to contribute to the development of products that leverage Generative AI to address real challenges faced by Itaú bank.

• Spearhead the integration of contemporary development practices, seamlessly incorporating AI into your everyday tasks to enhance delivery speed and maintain the quality of the software developed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Generative AI engineering and advanced knowledge of LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini, among others) for creating virtual assistants and natural language processing (NLP) applications.

• Proficient in vector databases and the application of embeddings for effective data management and semantic representation.

• Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and its various iterations.

• Experience in constructing and orchestrating agents using code-first frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Strands, CrewAI, Autogen, or similar technologies.

• Skilled in implementing multi-step and/or multi-agent workflows, utilizing function calling and structured outputs.

• Strong background in debugging and analyzing agents' execution traces, along with knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Demonstrated experience in backend development, ideally with Python.

• Profound understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.

• Familiar with agile development methodologies and AWS services.

• Expertise in the development cycle supported by code agents, with the capability to engage with, guide, and audit autonomous coding agents.

• Hands-on experience with SDD (Spec-Driven Development), utilizing rigorous specifications as the foundation for automated generation.

• Experience in Harness Engineering, creating isolated test environments (scaffolds/simulators) for the validation of autonomous code.
