Senior Application DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• You will be joining a team that utilizes advanced technologies and aims to maximize the use of cloud services.

• Your responsibilities will include establishing the necessary infrastructure using Terraform, developing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or Jenkins, and creating automation processes to aid the development teams.

• Furthermore, you will ensure the underlying infrastructure operates efficiently, and that systems and tools function as intended.

• You will assist developers with troubleshooting and provide guidance in response to alerts.

• As a senior engineer, you will take ownership of specific domains or projects, directing technical efforts and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

• You will play a vital role in mentoring and supervising other engineers, promoting collaboration, sharing best practices, and driving continuous improvement within the team.

• Your tasks will encompass collaboration with development teams to plan, deploy, and manage applications on AWS and Kubernetes, initiating and promoting the adoption of technologies, mentoring fellow engineers, overseeing engineering processes, managing cloud migration projects, and ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related field

• Comprehensive understanding of solution design and deployment projects

• Proficiency with Docker

• Experience or knowledge of CI/CD processes with GitLab and/or Jenkins

• Familiarity with AWS technologies, services, and ecosystem

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, preferably Terraform

• Proficient with version control tools such as Git

• Strong organizational and documentation capabilities

• Excellent time management abilities

• Essential skills in Linux and Windows administration, networking, and scripting
