Senior Animator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop animations that align with the project's aesthetic and technical criteria. As a Senior Animator, you will be responsible for establishing a high visual standard for the team and consistently striving for superior quality.

• Collaborate with the animation lead and Technical Art to ensure we have the necessary tools, technology, and implementation support to deliver animations efficiently and effectively.

• Partner with design and narrative teams to ensure our characters and other animated elements are responsive and expressive.

• Manage your timeboxes and production workload effectively to meet milestone goals while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.

• Work alongside the team to enhance animation processes, workflows, and pipelines. Challenge yourself and your colleagues to produce more responsive and expressive assets.

• React appropriately to feedback, iterate on assets as required, and assist in evaluating team contributions while providing feedback when requested.

• Possess knowledge in keyframe and motion capture techniques and processes.

• Acquire expert-level understanding of the animation tools within the game engine.

• Keep up to date with industry animation trends and techniques, set personal development goals, and consistently refine your craft.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as an Animator, with at least one shipped title in Unreal Engine in an Animation role.

• Proficient in working directly within Unreal Engine.

• Experience with Blender and other relevant animation software.

• Comprehensive knowledge of animation pipelines; strong documentation and debugging abilities; capable of troubleshooting and diagnosing animation issues.

• Self-motivated, organized, highly collaborative, driven, and comfortable working in a remote setting.

• Ability to mentor junior team members and set high standards in aesthetics and methodology.

• Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills.

• Deep understanding of art fundamentals and the ability to demonstrate strong aesthetic judgment.

• Inquisitive and willing to take risks and learn from setbacks.
