Senior Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Engage daily with a skilled cross-functional team of Software Engineers and Product specialists to design and implement exceptional features for a vast user base.

• Assume responsibility for the complete development lifecycle, from influencing initial design and architectural conversations to facilitating a seamless release process.

• Advocate for a user-focused methodology, delivering incremental value and ensuring that each update enhances the customer experience while bolstering app resilience.

• Craft elegant, high-performance, and dependable Kotlin code.

• Maintain our rigorous standards for code quality through thoughtful code reviews, offering constructive feedback, and supporting our team's coding best practices.

• Embrace the exciting opportunity of international expansion, assisting in the launch and growth of our Android application in the UK and Spanish markets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in native Android development, with a strong command of Kotlin, the primary language used for our app.

• Practical experience with the contemporary Android ecosystem, including dependency injection using Dagger/Hilt, asynchronous programming with Coroutines, and testing frameworks like Espresso/Mockito.

• Proficient in constructing robust app architectures utilizing Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, Room, and WorkManager.

• Experience with Jetpack Compose for developing modern, declarative user interfaces.

• Familiarity with essential development tools, including Git for version control and Gradle for build automation.

• Strong English communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
