This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create, develop, and sustain Android applications that interact with hardware peripherals via BLE.
• Produce efficient, reusable, and dependable Kotlin code that others will appreciate inheriting.
• Participate in defining, planning, and estimating new modules and functionalities.
• Ensure your code is covered by unit tests and maintain a TDD approach where appropriate.
• Evaluate pull requests and provide constructive feedback to assist your teammates.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, including those that may only occur on specific OEMs.
• Share your knowledge through tech talks, internal documentation, pair programming sessions, or any suitable format.
• Incorporate AI tools into your daily workflow, rather than using them as mere novelties.
• Over 3 years of experience in developing production-level Android applications within commercial projects.
• Proficient in Kotlin (not just someone who has read about coroutines).
• Practical experience with BLE integration: working applications communicating with actual peripherals.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose in a production environment.
• Comfortable using popular Android libraries such as Koin, Hilt, and the modern stack.
• Strong unit testing practices (JUnit, Mockito, Robolectric, or similar) with a TDD mindset.
• Proficiency in English at B2+ level, both written and spoken, as our clients are predominantly based in the US.
• Emphasis on problem-solving rather than merely counting lines of code: we prefer innovative thinkers over rapid typists.
• High coding standards and keen awareness of emerging trends in the Android ecosystem.
• Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and clear communication skills so that others understand your intentions without ambiguity.
• Fully remote work option, with a pet-friendly office in Warsaw and a coworking space in Gdansk available if desired.
• Access to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives: tech talks, experiments, and side projects.
• Permanent contract with a fixed monthly salary contingent on the successful completion of the first 3 months.
• 26 days of paid leave, 10 sick days, Saltus medical care, and a training budget.
