This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Prepare sales and use tax returns for the U.S. and Canada, along with foreign VAT/GST returns for Europe and APAC regions.
• Generate GST calculations, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, along with corresponding reconciliations.
• Assist in the computation of advance income tax and payment preparations.
• Conduct monthly sales tax reconciliations and support month-end closing activities.
• Maintain the tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely monitoring of filing and payment deadlines.
• Prepare property tax returns.
• Assist with India tax and regulatory compliance activities, covering GST, TDS, RBI, and statutory filings.
• Provide support for intercompany transactions, export documentation, and various operational tax matters.
• Facilitate accounting activities concerning prepaid expenses, fixed assets, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
• Aid in tax audits, transfer pricing audits, and in responding to notices from tax authorities.
• Collaborate with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal finance teams on compliance-related issues.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing sales and use tax compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent amount of additional experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance.
• Chartered Accountant designation is preferred.
• Proficient understanding of accounting processes with the capability to identify tax-related issues.
• Experience in filing sales and use tax returns for the U.S. and Canada.
• Background in preparing and reconciling sales tax accounts, as well as supporting month-end sales tax reconciliations.
