Senior Analyst, Risk Management, Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Gain exposure to essential areas such as risk underwriting, pricing, and direct mail marketing, with the chance to specialize in a particular field based on personal interests and business requirements.

• Collaborate with product teams, data science, and engineering to design and execute tests; translate insights into actionable strategies and present findings to stakeholders to guide decision-making.

• Create and maintain valuation frameworks to assess profitability at the margin; suggest modifications to risk strategies to enhance profitability and ensure the necessary return on capital across all risk segments.

• Develop dynamic risk assessment frameworks utilizing alternative data to evaluate creditworthiness and optimize loan amount assignment strategies under various constraints and assumptions.

• Formulate strategy ramp-up plans to facilitate expansion into new channels, geographic regions, and/or partner sources while ensuring the resilience of the portfolio.

• Oversee portfolio performance, adjusting strategies to reduce defaults while maximizing credit access for underserved populations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related analytical field (an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline is an advantage).

• Over 3 years of experience in an analytical role, ideally within the risk management sector of the financial services industry.

• Exceptional attention to detail and experience in developing processes to implement strategies effectively.

• A proactive self-starter who naturally takes ownership, seeks opportunities, and drives recommendations through to execution.

• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and motivated to complete tasks efficiently.

• Capable of flexible prioritization of work, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines.

• Proficient in SQL (or a similar programming language); knowledge of Python is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
