
Senior Analyst, Compliance – Property Tax

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire property tax compliance process, emphasizing return preparation, tax bill processing, and payment.
• Prepare intricate personal property and centrally assessed tax returns along with the necessary supporting documentation.
• Assist with filings for utility and power generation clients, encompassing unitary and multi-state submissions.
• Reconcile property tax returns with fixed asset systems and relevant regulatory documents.
• Analyze state and local property tax laws, regulations, and utility-specific guidance.
• Monitor jurisdictional assessment notices and tax bills.
• Manage the processing of tax bills and create funding requests for payments.
• Maintain property tax calendars and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
• Update internal compliance software throughout the reporting, assessment, and payment processes.
• Provide assistance with appeals, amended returns, and refund requests.
• Support the implementation of new clients for utility and energy portfolios.
• Act as a resource for client-specific and technical inquiries.
• Help train and mentor junior team members, conduct return reviews, manage special projects, contribute to business development, and facilitate client onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in property tax.
• Preferred experience with utility, power generation, or other centrally assessed properties.
• Experience with multi-state filings and complex apportionment methodologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with property tax software such as PTMS, OneSource, PowerPlan, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication capabilities.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
