• Conduct independent research to uncover innovative topics, emerging trends, and market changes, synthesizing industry data, analyst reports, and primary sources into engaging, original narratives.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify content gaps and ensure that Vonage's thought leadership is distinctly recognized.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of how AI is transforming enterprise communications, customer experience, and business operations, translating this insight into content that resonates with senior decision-makers.
• Write for specific enterprise audiences, particularly targeting C-Suite individuals such as Chief Executive Officers, Chief Information Officers, Chief Digital Officers, and other executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to guarantee that content reflects Vonage's most up-to-date positioning and strategic narrative.
• Approach each assignment with a journalist's mindset—seeking original perspectives, conducting interviews and background research, and constructing arguments based on evidence.
• Contribute to Vonage's overall content strategy by recognizing new thought leadership opportunities and championing ideas, formats, and publishing channels that will yield the most significant impact.
• 7-10+ years of professional writing experience, showcasing a proven ability to create long-form thought leadership, editorial content, or investigative journalism at a high level.
• In-depth, fluent knowledge of artificial intelligence, including generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and the strategic and organizational implications of AI integration within enterprises.
• Established capability to conduct independent research, synthesize complex information, and formulate original, defendable viewpoints without relying on preset briefs or talking points.
• Strong analytical instincts and experience in performing competitor content analysis and tracking market trends to guide editorial strategy.
• Experience writing for C-Suite audiences, with an inherent understanding of what captures executive attention and credibility.
• Proven experience working directly with or interviewing senior executives and subject matter experts.
• Exceptional editorial judgment: discerning the difference between a story and a press release, as well as between a genuine insight and a rehashed vendor claim.
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, matrixed B2B technology environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
• Strong portfolio showcasing long-form writing on intricate, high-stakes topics, ideally within enterprise technology, AI, or business strategy.
