Senior AI / ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive AI/ML solutions within production settings.

• Create robust backend systems and APIs that facilitate AI-driven applications.

• Establish and sustain data pipelines along with feature engineering workflows.

• Implement and operationalize machine learning models, including training, deployment, and monitoring.

• Utilize contemporary AI tools such as LLMs, agents, and orchestration frameworks.

• Collaborate with clients to convert business challenges into technical solutions.

• Participate in architectural decisions and uphold best practices across various projects.

• Mentor client team members and assist in the development of internal capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering.

• Proficient in programming and querying languages, including Python, SQL, and PySpark.

• Proven experience in building production-grade systems such as APIs, microservices, and pipelines.

• Practical experience with AI/ML workflows and model deployment.

• Knowledge of modern AI/GenAI tools and concepts.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Databricks.

• Solid understanding of data engineering principles including ETL, data modeling, and pipelines.

• Strong knowledge of the Databricks ecosystem, including AgentBricks and Genie; Databricks certifications are highly preferred.

• Experience with LLM frameworks and agent-based architectures.

• Familiarity with modern developer tools such as Cursor, AI-assisted development, and "vibe coding."

• Background in working with data from industrial, utilities, or energy sectors.
