Senior Agentic Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain AI agent orchestration platforms, which include multi-agent delegation, session management, and streaming interfaces.

• Create and develop Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that provide domain-specific functionalities as composable tools.

• Establish robust security and isolation measures, encompassing sandboxed code execution, scoped permissions, Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) workflows, and tenant-aware data access.

• Deploy and manage containerized services on AWS utilizing Terraform, focusing on cost efficiency, reliability, and data-driven observability.

• Collaborate closely with ML engineers, data engineers, and product teams to seamlessly integrate specialist agents without the need for translation layers.

• Take ownership of and enhance technical solutions from inception to deployment, rigorously testing assumptions and addressing gaps proactively without waiting for a finalized playbook.

• Leverage data to diagnose and resolve intricate issues across agent orchestration, infrastructure, and LLM providers within a distributed setting.

• Produce clear, tested Python code, considering quality and reliability as fundamental priorities rather than afterthoughts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in production software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend systems, platform engineering, or infrastructure.

• Advanced expertise in Python, focusing on writing maintainable, production-grade code.

• Direct experience in constructing AI agent systems in production, including tool invocation, multi-agent orchestration, or autonomous task management.

• Profound understanding of the generative AI landscape, including Large Language Models (LLM), orchestration frameworks, MCP, memory strategies, and execution sandboxing.

• Practical experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, containerized services, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Solid comprehension of security and isolation within environments where AI agents execute code or handle sensitive, regulated data.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders using data.

• Work with a 'build vs. buy' mindset to quickly scale capabilities without sacrificing precision.

• Preferred background in biotech, healthcare, or regulated multi-tenant data environments.
