Senior Agentic AI – Data Science Applied Researcher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with software and solutions teams to pinpoint significant opportunities for implementing agentic AI technologies.

• Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of agentic AI solutions tailored for data science and machine learning workflows.

• Create and sustain agentic AI benchmarks applicable to various use cases.

• Develop agentic AI solutions that streamline parts or the entirety of data science pipelines, including data elicitation, curation, iterative experimentation, model training and evaluation workflows, diagnostics, and ablation studies.

• Implement solutions for enterprise data science projects and machine learning competitions.

• Collaborate with internal teams and organizations.

• Produce work that is utilized in products on a global scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in industry or academia focused on AI data science systems development.

• Familiarity with fine-tuning models, reinforcement learning, agents, or orchestration frameworks.

• Practical experience with deep learning frameworks and inference stacks.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Competence in at least one of PyTorch or JAX/TensorFlow.

• Experience utilizing coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor for developing and maintaining sophisticated codebases.

• Background in developing agentic or automated systems that interact with external storage and reporting tools.

• Knowledge of safety measures, guardrails, and policy enforcement for autonomous systems.

• Extensive expertise in constructing, training, and fine-tuning models.

• Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing autonomous AI systems for data science and machine learning applications.

• Proven leadership in open-source initiatives related to agentic AI systems for data science.

• Successful outcomes in machine learning competitions and benchmarks.
