Senior Accounting and Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Lead the accounting and finance operations for a technology consulting firm based in the US with a global presence.

• Take ownership of the monthly and annual financial closing processes.

• Generate precise and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

• Supervise all accounting functions, including Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, invoicing, treasury, and cash management.

• Manage accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions.

• Ensure adherence to tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting obligations while collaborating with the company's CPA.

• Lead external audit processes and liaise with auditors and external consultants.

• Create, uphold, and enhance internal controls and financial procedures.

• Spearhead accounting system implementations, automation projects, and process enhancements.

• Collaborate directly with the CEO and leadership team to deliver financial insights, assess risks, and aid strategic decision-making.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and other financial planning activities.

• This position has the potential to evolve into the CFO role based on performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles such as Senior Accounting Manager, Controller, Assistant Controller, or equivalent.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or an equivalent professional accounting certification is highly preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Experience with US-based companies in the technology, IT consulting, professional services, or SaaS sectors.

• Proven track record in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.

• Background in managing external audits and collaborating with auditors.

• Strong grasp of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance issues.

• Experience in managing multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.

• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems (QuickBooks Online required; Xero is an added advantage) and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capacity to take initiative, work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and excel in a fully remote, international setting that fosters a positive work culture.
