This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare and assess journal entries along with account reconciliations.
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for designated areas.
• Guarantee the precision and thoroughness of the general ledger.
• Examine account variations and probe discrepancies.
• Create supporting schedules for financial reporting purposes.
• Aid in annual audits and fulfill other compliance obligations.
• Recognize chances to enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Draft accounting entries concerning stock-based compensation in accordance with ASC 718.
• Manage equity transactions, including stock options, RSUs, and ESPP.
• Develop equity roll-forward schedules and associated documentation.
• Assist with disclosures in quarterly and annual financial statements related to equity compensation.
• Provide support to external valuation experts and auditors during reporting periods.
• Help administer the company's equity plans and equity management platform.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Payroll, and external service providers.
• Maintain records of equity awards and employee transactions.
• Address employee inquiries regarding equity.
• Engage in special projects, acquisitions, and improvements in systems/processes.
• Investigate technical accounting issues as necessary.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives across Finance, Payroll, HR, and Legal.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: CPA designation (or actively pursuing CPA).
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience is an advantage.
• Strong expertise in: general ledger accounting, month-end closing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting for stock-based compensation and equity transactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Preferred experience with equity administration platforms like Morgan Stanley ETRADE or similar.
• Experience in a publicly traded or private equity-backed organization is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred.
