Intermediate Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Ensure the maintenance of precise financial records, encompassing accounts payable and receivable.

• Execute bank reconciliations while safeguarding the integrity of financial data.

• Efficiently handle the processing of invoices, payments, and expense claims.

• Oversee payroll processing and adhere to applicable compliance regulations.

• Guarantee the accuracy of the general ledger and meet financial reporting responsibilities.

• Carry out month-end and year-end financial closures.

• Detect opportunities for advisory services.

• Assist in the formulation of financial statements and reports.

• Prepare individual income tax returns.

• Aid in the preparation of entity tax returns.

• Ensure adherence to tax obligations, including BAS, GST, and other regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to enhancements in processes and automation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 3 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience.

• Proficient in MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, Hubdoc, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.

• Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations.

• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work independently and manage tasks remotely with minimal supervision.
