Senior 2D Concept Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality, original concept art for both environment and character designs that are stylized yet realistically detailed.

• Collaborate closely with the art and design teams to maintain visual consistency and incorporate feedback throughout the creative process.

• Transform project briefs into engaging visual narratives that align with the overall project vision.

• Generate multiple iterations swiftly and efficiently, balancing creativity with production timelines by utilizing AI acceleration.

• Engage in related tasks such as color scripts, mood boards, and reference boards to direct the final production design.

• Implement a hybrid workflow where traditional painting techniques, 3D modeling, and digital painting tools serve as the foundation, enhanced by AI workflows to improve and speed up the final production design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Concept Artist, particularly in environment design.

• Strong proficiency in digital painting tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, Procreate) along with a solid understanding of traditional art fundamentals.

• Proven ability to work with AI-assisted pipelines within an artist-centric workflow, with required proficiency in Nano-Banana and GPT-image.

• Knowledge of advanced AI generation environments and nodes (e.g., ComfyUI, Forge, A1111) is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.

• Capability to stylize designs while incorporating realistic details that enhance the project’s visual narrative.

• Familiarity with 3D software is a plus; candidates with 3D skills are encouraged, although exceptional painting and conceptual capabilities remain the top priority.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• A strong portfolio that showcases your ability to create intricate, immersive environment art, ideally reflecting both your foundational art skills and your AI-integrated workflow.
