This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Execute and implement the local ABB Motion strategy within the HVACR sector (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration).
• Target and assist planning and engineering firms, particularly focusing on end-customer companies.
• Drive technical and commercial negotiations with clients while identifying and supporting both existing and potential customers at municipal and industrial levels.
• Emphasize the acquisition of new customers through proactive outreach strategies, including cold calling and market expansion in data centers, district heating, and industrial heat pump applications.
• Offer technical consultancy, product pre-qualification, and training to planners, engineering firms, system integrators, and end customers.
• Gather and analyze information on customers, markets, and competitors to aid in short- and long-term planning decisions in collaboration with local management.
• Partner with other ABB business units and local sales teams to sustainably grow the market and identify customer projects at an early stage.
• Organize, conduct, and engage in specialist conferences, product presentations, regional trade fairs, marketing initiatives, training sessions, and exhibitions.
• Completed technician/master’s degree or a technical degree in electrical engineering, electrical drive technology, or HVACR.
• Several years of professional experience in field sales, particularly adept at cold calling and selling technically complex products.
• Strong knowledge of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration industries, along with detailed product knowledge in drive technology (drives and motors).
• Proven experience in the strategic development of customer relationships, with responsibilities for revenue, margin, and customer growth.
• Familiarity with project management and experience collaborating with sales channels.
• Experience in organizing trade show participation and customer-focused events.
• Proficiency in German (written and spoken) and a good command of English.
• Availability to travel nationwide for customer visits (up to 3 times per week) and trade fairs.
