This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Engage with customers regarding security-related products, architectures, and risk issues within the Veeam Data Platform (VDP).
• Conduct readiness assessments and lead data modeling efforts to verify solution designs and expedite decision-making.
• Oversee attack surfaces and vulnerabilities (including DRMM scoring), monitor telemetry or recurring inspection signals, report trends, and identify potential health checks.
• Validate designs to minimize risks associated with adoption and enhance time to value.
• Identify and articulate opportunities for expansion; review consumption patterns and arrange checkpoint reviews (with or without AE coordination).
• Collaborate with CISO/CIO stakeholders for discussions on risk, status, and opportunities; synthesize feedback from account health and CSE-led QBRs.
• Assist AEs in security and AI-driven expansion initiatives; influence roadmap priorities in collaboration with CSE counterparts.
• Serve as a pooled resource for both Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts (typically $100K+ ARR), generally maintaining a ratio of 1 Security Success Engineer to 6–8 CSEs.
• Note: Not primarily responsible for Onboarding processes or directly accountable for Renewals.
• Over 5 years of experience in engineering architecture for cybersecurity-related products (e.g., Security Engineer/Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, MLOps/ML Engineer).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalents).
• Proficiency in data security and governance, including DSPM/DLP; knowledge of AI/ML architectures is a plus.
• Proven ability to engage CISO/CIO stakeholders regarding risk, resilience, and modernization strategies.
• Practical experience with solution design, POCs, telemetry monitoring, and maturity modeling (familiarity with DRMM is advantageous).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• VMCE certification (can be obtained after joining).
