Security Researcher III – Phishing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Data Collection: Identify, target, and retrieve data from Phishing-as-a-Service (PhaaS) kits through a blend of human intelligence and platform sourcing.

• Data Analysis: Utilize data science methodologies to evaluate the quality of sourced data, aimed at enhancing the PhaaS data sourcing pipeline.

• Human Intelligence: Employ human intelligence strategies such as managing various alternate personas, engaging with actors, and executing social engineering to support data retrieval initiatives.

• Security Analysis: Contribute to the creation of research blogs and analytical materials to advance customer and organizational goals.

• Security Research: Engage in security research, including the investigation of threat actors, PhaaS, and other vital research aligned with SpyCloud’s priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a cybersecurity researcher, analyst, or in a similar cybersecurity role.

• Proficient understanding of contemporary PhaaS kits and techniques, including AiTM and Device Code phishing.

• Familiarity with the criminal underground and methods to access data traded in the deep and dark web.

• Experience in human intelligence methods, including elicitation, persona management, and direct engagement with threat actors.

• A critical thinker who is comfortable facilitating collaborative problem-solving within a team setting.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Highly curious, empathetic, adaptable, and self-motivated.

• Experience collaborating in a remote work environment with team members globally.

• A genuine passion for combating malicious actors in the cyber criminal ecosystem.
