Security Engineer, Golang

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality security applications and services utilizing Python.

• Create internal security tools and platforms from the ground up.

• Design security APIs and integrate them with existing systems.

• Implement automation for identifying misconfigurations, enforcing security standards, and automating security reviews and alerts.

• Design and establish AI-driven security integrations.

• Create and enforce secure cloud architectures, specifically on AWS.

• Apply policy enforcement for IAM least-privilege models, manage secrets (e.g., Vault, SSM, Sealed Secrets), and oversee security groups and private networking.

• Secure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to avert secret leaks and assure signed artifacts and immutable builds.

• Oversee code and artifact scanning, including SAST/DAST, dependency and SBOM scanning, and container image scanning.

• Define security checkpoints that balance developer efficiency with risk management.

• Enhance runtime security measures: detect suspicious activities and prevent abuse.

• Enforce policies in production environments.

• Collaborate with teams on threat modeling and conduct secure design reviews.

• Assist in incident response and post-mortem analyses from a security viewpoint.

• Promote continuous improvement based on security incidents and near-misses.

• Lead the technical components of security incident investigations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Infrastructure, Platform, and Cloud Security.

• Proficient in Python development (beyond scripting—creating production software).

• Practical experience with CI/CD security tools.

• Proven track record in building security applications and platforms.

• Familiarity with software design patterns and engineering best practices.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms:

• AWS, Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD systems.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Python software development experience (APIs, services, and tooling).

• Automation-driven mindset rather than relying on manual checklists.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence engineers.

• Comfortable working in dynamic, production-focused environments.

• A software engineering approach to solving security challenges.
