This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Tenable is looking for a Principal Security Engineer to assist with demonstrations and evaluations of enterprise opportunities throughout the region.
• Aid in crafting business value propositions centered around Tenable's products and solutions.
• Propel sales through technical expertise, account management capabilities, sales proficiency, and exceptional customer focus.
• Collaborate as part of a sales team to meet or surpass revenue goals.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Vulnerability and Risk Management and provide guidance to some of the world's largest organizations.
• Engage with prospective clients to identify their most pressing security challenges and top business priorities.
• Align Tenable’s distinct business value and differentiators with their challenges and business needs.
• Conduct tailored portfolio demonstrations based on thorough discovery questions and genuine insights.
• Collaborate with like-minded colleagues across Tenable to establish exceptionally strong teams and shared knowledge.
• Influence product direction, make a meaningful impact, and be a part of Tenable’s growth and leadership in the rapidly evolving field of network security.
• Previous experience in a security-related technical pre-sales position.
• Ability to create customized demos rather than simply delivering standard presentations.
• Proficient and confident in leading discussions from a technical depth to an executive level.
• Strong self-starter mentality and a determination to succeed.
• Excellent teamwork skills, as collaboration is crucial at Tenable.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed within your territory, averaging around 25% of the time.
• Familiarity with Nessus and/or other network security technologies.
• Solid foundational understanding of TCP/IP and network security principles.
• Experience with enterprise-class operating systems at the security administration level.
• Proven experience with modern computing infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, etc.
• Knowledge of Docker and DevOps practices, along with API scripting and Python SDK.
• Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., PCI, FISMA, SOX, NERC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 10+ years of direct SE experience.
• CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or other security-related certifications.
• Up to 25% travel.
