Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• This position provides an opportunity to enhance enterprise security by overseeing vulnerabilities, incidents, and essential security systems within cloud, network, and endpoint environments.

• You will collaborate closely with vendors, cross-functional teams, and senior executives to ensure proactive risk management and efficient security reporting.

• Coordinate with external vendors to guarantee prompt resolution of hardware and software issues.

• Examine the status and findings of vulnerability scans.

• Advise cross-functional teams on remediation strategies.

• Responsible for security reporting and presentations to Senior Executives.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure documentation is current in accordance with contractual requirements.

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Update operational procedures documentation as necessary.

• Monitor and respond to security-related incidents and requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in managing the delivery of IT security services within a Managed Service environment or a large government agency.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capability to present information to senior client executives.

• Technical expertise in:

• Email gateway tools (Proofpoint and email analysis/forensics)

• CyberArk PAM and EPM

• Cortex

• Palo Alto

• System security (Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, etc.)

• Network security (VPNs, firewalls, etc.)

• Experience in assessing the integrity of:

• Websites/URLs

• IP addresses

• Software

• Browser plugins

• Domains

• Well-versed in current attacks and both current and emerging cybersecurity trends.

• Experience with IT security, email security (M365), access control, operational security, impact analysis, process optimization, and vulnerability management.

• Desirable qualifications include:

• ITIL tools – ServiceNow and ITIL

• Cloud experience – Oracle, AWS, and Azure
