Security Architect II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Providing guidance on minimizing security threats for managed security clients.

• Safeguarding essential web applications and APIs for businesses, including financial institutions and online retailers.

• Detecting cyber threats through data analysis, formulating mitigation strategies, and implementing solutions.

• Ensuring minimal disruption to end users while addressing urgent security issues.

• Developing and applying mitigation strategies to counter real-time attacks, utilizing Akamai products and platform.

• Performing in-depth analysis to recognize attacks and threats aimed at digital assets, web applications, and APIs.

• Offering consultation and attack mitigation strategies to clients or peer teams based on thorough analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess over 5 years of experience along with a High School diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Have experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Streamlit, or Dash for quick prototyping.

• Proficient in REST APIs, able to parse JSON, retrieve scan data, effectively use Python, and apply SQL.

• Familiar with Git and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and clustering, especially for anomaly detection.

• Show expertise in Python, SQL, and basic statistics, including mean, median, mode, and correlation.

• Knowledgeable about protocols like HTTP, TCP/IP, OWASP top 10, and their connection to internet security vulnerabilities.

• Familiar with common security techniques for preventing attacks at Layer 7.
