This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in conducting vendor risk assessments by gathering due diligence materials (such as SOC reports, security questionnaires, and policies) and monitoring their status.
• Evaluate questionnaire responses and supporting evidence for thoroughness; summarize findings and engage with vendors and internal stakeholders for clarifications.
• Aid in documenting vendor risks, compensating controls, and remediation actions within the company’s third-party risk management (TPRM) system; ensure records are organized and ready for audits.
• Contribute to the planning of security awareness training: create and manage the training calendar, coordinate campaign logistics, and support communication during rollout.
• Assist in setting up the awareness platform (where applicable): user/group uploads, assignment rules, workflow testing, and quality assurance of training modules and phishing simulations.
• Monitor participation, completion rates, and simulation outcomes; aid in generating simple metrics dashboards and summaries at the end of campaigns.
• Draft and revise program documentation, job aids, FAQs, and internal wiki pages related to vendor assessments and security awareness initiatives.
• Provide general assistance for GRC and security program activities as required (including taking meeting notes, conducting light research, and engaging in process improvement tasks).
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a similar field.
• Interest in (or coursework related to) third-party risk management, security governance, or compliance.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks and adhering to established processes.
• Familiarity with common security and privacy frameworks/attestations (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF) is advantageous; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating with internal teams and professionally following up with vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) or Google Workspace; quick to learn new tools.
• Able to work efficiently in a fully remote setting, including participating in virtual meetings and clearly communicating status updates.
• Must have reliable internet access for a home office environment.
