This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and identify potential risks that could impede the financial success of the organization.
• Strive to comprehend and quantify the organization's overall risk exposure, encompassing market, credit, and operational risks.
• Monitor and analyze market trends and data to aid businesses in avoiding potential losses or uncovering growth opportunities.
• Assess business activities (such as investments or operational processes) to evaluate potential risks.
• Utilize data analysis, statistical models, historical data, and financial expertise to inform decisions regarding risk exposure and management strategies.
• Collaborate with various departments to comprehend and mitigate business risks, suggesting strategies to alleviate financial risk.
• Assist in the development of internal processes and methodologies for risk assessment and monitoring.
• Stay updated on industry trends and standards, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure effective risk management and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Generally requires a bachelor's degree (or its international equivalent) along with 2+ years of pertinent experience.
• Familiarity with Operational Risk and financial risk models and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of Enterprise Risk models and tools, along with a solid grasp of the Enterprise Risk framework.
• Experience in working with a diverse array of data sources/streams and managing them efficiently.
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to nurture relationships with business units, particularly in relation to operations and technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying information to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within Dark Matter and externally (executives, regulators, clients, etc.).
• Proficiency in providing information to a wide range of audiences on diverse topics while effectively managing confidential and sensitive issues.
• Ability to persuade and influence others regarding subsequent actions.
• Skill in partnering with and influencing others without direct authority; fostering consensus and seeking collaboration with individuals from different departments and all levels as needed.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, key processes, and technology-related risk issues, particularly concerning security and privacy.
