This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• At AHEAD, SOC Analysts are tasked with monitoring customer environments while executing Incident Detection, Validation, and Reporting.
• SOC Analysts are accountable for triaging events and incidents, as well as reporting validated incidents to customers to facilitate incident response.
• Troubleshoot issues encountered by customers effectively.
• Monitor security feeds that are streaming from client servers, network devices, and end-user workstations.
• Operate and maintain network security apparatus at client sites.
• Conduct analysis of information security events and must have a solid understanding of operating systems, TCP/IP networking, network attacks, vulnerability management, and log analysis.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Security, Incident Response, or a related field.
• Proficient understanding of common operating systems (such as Windows and Linux) and foundational endpoint security principles.
• Experience in incident handling and response.
• A strong desire to learn and understand common security technologies (including IDS, Firewall, SIEM, etc.).
• Ability to think creatively in order to devise elegant solutions for complex challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• A commitment to working both independently and as part of a larger team.
• Eagerness to take on challenges and a strong thirst for knowledge.
• Practical experience with common security technologies (IDS, Firewall, SIEM, etc.).
• Familiarity with common security analysis tools and techniques.
• Understanding of prevalent security threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Knowledge of regular expressions.
