Security Analyst – 2nd Shift

📋 Description

• Oversee security logs and alerts originating from diverse sources, including intrusion detection systems, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

• Investigate and assess security incidents, determine root causes, and formulate suitable mitigation strategies.

• Implement security response measures, including comprehensive remote remediation of endpoints.

• Conduct threat hunting and proactive analysis to pinpoint potential security risks and vulnerabilities.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and support, to address customer incidents or issues.

• Mentor and guide junior security analysts, sharing expertise and best practices.

• Perform health checks and architecture reviews, offering technical insights and practical experience in developing solutions, designs, and recommendations.

• Act as a strong advocate for customers across the business to identify new detection models, suggest new product features, create content for both internal and external customer knowledge bases, and ensure successful Vectra deployments.

• Travel is anticipated to be between 0-5%.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an MDR security analyst, SOC analyst, or in a comparable role within a fast-paced environment.

• Proven experience in providing remote response and remediation activities within networks and on endpoints.

• Strong knowledge of intrusion detection systems, AI-driven attack detection and prevention, incident response methodologies, and SOC operations.

• Familiarity with SIEM tools, log analysis, network analysis, endpoint analysis, and threat intelligence platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of operating systems, networking protocols, and security technologies.

• Skilled in incident handling, threat hunting, and forensics.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to think critically under pressure.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
