SDET/QA Automation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Establish essential product quality metrics and develop a strategic QA roadmap spanning multiple quarters.

• Implement the outlined QA roadmap effectively.

• Systematically enhance test coverage by prioritizing based on risk and impact.

• Manage the test system infrastructure and resource allocation strategy.

• Foster a team culture that emphasizes extensive use of AI and automation.

• Revise the on-duty rotation to ensure it is fair and sustainable.

• Guide 6 SDETs in their progression from 'test writers' to 'product quality engineers' responsible for end-to-end subsystem ownership.

• Develop clear career advancement pathways.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in test automation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role overseeing a QA team of 5 or more engineers.

• Extensive experience in testing Linux-based products (RPM, systemd, multi-distro environments).

• A proven history of significantly enhancing test reliability metrics.

• Experience in building or integrating AI/ML into QA processes (not just theoretical—demonstrate what you have delivered).

• Proficient in Python, as the entire test framework and tooling are developed in this language.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline architecture (with experience in Jenkins Pipelines; GitLab CI is on the horizon).

• Must exhibit strategic thinking, an instinct for delegation, data-driven execution, strategic initiative, and a bias towards automation.
