This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication with client project stakeholders about project status and recommendations.

• Develop client code that is efficient, performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.

• Actively engage in precise planning and estimation activities, utilizing project methodologies and tools.

• Skillfully gather requirements and organize/present developed features for clients.

• Perform complex tasks within the existing methodology and quality standards, demonstrating success across various projects.

• Enhance and expand automation frameworks and practices. Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and automation coverage, contributing to the selection and implementation of cutting-edge tools and technologies.

• Oversee the detailed design and execution of automated test cases, focusing on critical, high-impact testing activities. Ensure comprehensive coverage and adherence to quality standards while effectively managing resources and timelines.

• Foster client success by collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user challenges, anticipate potential issues, and iterate on solutions that enhance client outcomes.

• Participate in agile software development activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and other governance tasks.

• Actively contribute to the Engineering Practice community, mentoring others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or project teams, and fostering the growth of technical skills.

• Independently drive project delivery within outlined architecture, exhibiting autonomy and responsibility throughout all phases from conceptualization to deployment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with remote device testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar).

• At least 5+ years of experience in QA, specifically in Automation testing, and including the following areas:

• Angular (Unit Testing, UX design, Figma, MonoRepo, state management using ngRx).

• Java, AWS services (Lambda, SQS, etc.), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient in API automation and possess a solid understanding of automation frameworks like Playwright and Cypress.

• Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON validation.

• Extensive experience with the Karate Framework for API automation.

• Advanced hands-on experience with Playwright for Web UI automation.

• Strong experience in iOS automation (Appium preferred).

• Proficient in all aspects of the development process, including code repository (GitHub) and branching strategies, code reviews, coding standards, and code deployment.

• Expected to assess and make recommendations based on complex Proof of Concepts.

• Lead the design and implementation of a scalable automation framework utilizing Java and Angular.

• Familiarity with test-driven development.

• In-depth knowledge of databases and SQL, with experience executing complex data validation and interacting with databases for thorough backend testing.

• Proficient in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), with a strong history in bug reporting, tracking, and resolution processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Design) to define, design, automate, and deliver new features and functionalities.

• Ensure code integrity and organization, including conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers.

• Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to work independently and under pressure, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.

• Experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, DevOps).
