This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication with project stakeholders to provide updates on project status and recommendations.

• Develop client-side code that is not only efficient but also high-performing, testable, scalable, secure, and of exceptional quality.

• Actively engage in precise planning and estimation processes, utilizing appropriate project methodologies and tools.

• Skillfully gather requirements and effectively organize and present developed features to clients.

• Perform intricate tasks within the established methodology and quality standards, demonstrating success across various projects.

• Enhance and broaden automation frameworks and practices. Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and automation coverage, contributing to the selection and implementation of innovative tools and technologies.

• Oversee the detailed design and execution of automated test cases, emphasizing critical, high-impact testing activities. Ensure comprehensive coverage and compliance with quality standards while efficiently managing resources and timelines.

• Foster client success by collaborating with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user challenges, foresee potential issues, and iterate on solutions that promote client achievements.

• Participate in agile software development practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and various governance activities.

• Actively contribute to the Engineering Practice community by mentoring others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or project teams and aiding in the development of technical skills.

• Independently manage project delivery within defined architectural frameworks, showcasing autonomy and accountability throughout all phases from conceptualization to deployment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with remote device testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar.

• At least 5+ years of experience in QA, specifically in Automation testing, and the following areas:

• Angular (Unit Testing, UX design, Figma, MonoRepo, state management using ngRx).

• Java, AWS services (Lambda, SQS, etc.), containerization, CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient in API automation with a strong understanding of automation frameworks like Playwright and Cypress.

• Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON validation.

• Extensive experience with the Karate Framework for API automation.

• Advanced hands-on experience with Playwright for Web UI automation.

• Solid background in iOS automation, preferably with Appium.

• Proficient in all aspects of the development process, including code repository management (GitHub) and branching strategies, code reviews, coding standards, and code deployment.

• Expected to assess and provide recommendations based on complex Proof of Concepts.

• Lead the design and implementation of a scalable automation framework utilizing Java and Angular.

• Familiarity with test-driven development.

• In-depth knowledge of databases and SQL, with experience in executing complex data validation and interacting with databases for thorough backend testing.

• Proficient with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), with a solid record in bug reporting, tracking, and resolution processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Design) to define, design, automate, and deliver new features and functionalities.

• Ensure code integrity and organization, including conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers.

• Exemplify best practices in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to work independently and under pressure, effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.

• Experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, DevOps).
