This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with internal bioinformatics and chemistry teams to design experiments in molecular and cellular biology.
• Oversee external CROs, including the design of experiments and providing technical guidance.
• Create and refine siRNAs, ASOs, PMOs, and other innovative nucleotide modalities.
• Develop and analyze structure-activity relationships (SAR) for the optimization of lead compounds.
• Utilize Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) for maintaining technical documentation and effectively communicate strategies and results.
• Assess new technologies and scientific literature to improve the potency of oligonucleotides.
• A Ph.D. in biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field with 0-6 years of relevant industry experience, OR a Master’s degree with 2-8 years of industry experience in oligonucleotide therapeutic development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of siRNA and ASO design principles, cellular action mechanisms, and strategies for chemical modification.
• Familiarity with cutting-edge oligonucleotide delivery technologies, such as GalNAc conjugates, lipid conjugates, and peptide/antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates (AOCs), or other targeted delivery approaches.
• Practical experience with mammalian cell culture and various transfection techniques.
