This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, compose, revise, and refresh health-related content for both web and print media.
• Simplify intricate medical and scientific data into easily understandable language.
• Create and refine fact sheets and educational resources grounded in scientific evidence.
• Ensure compliance with federal plain language and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Execute quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with web content updates utilizing content management systems (CMS).
• Implement web-writing best practices, including SEO techniques and scannability.
• Aid in regular content review cycles.
• Prepare meeting summaries and synthesis documents as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in writing and editing medical or scientific content.
• Proven experience writing for both public and/or professional audiences.
• Strong grasp of plain language principles and health literacy.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Capacity to synthesize complex scientific information.
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
