This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Act as the primary lead and main point of contact to assess change requirements within an engagement, recommend solutions or forums, and implement agreed-upon strategies while supervising business analysts or other project team members to effectively execute necessary transformations.
• Collaborate to enhance change management capabilities within Zifo North America, contributing to the development of toolkits and upskilling project team members both internally and externally to consulting.
• Connect with external leaders in change management across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and agritech sectors to gain insights from fellow practitioners and elevate Zifo’s profile in the change management arena.
• Serve as a leader to define and take ownership of project success, utilizing essential consulting skills such as active listening, empathetic collaboration, a strong sense of responsibility, and effective communication across diverse audiences.
• Hold accountability for business analysis outputs, which include user requirements specifications (URS), functional requirements specifications, data and process maps, workflows, gap analyses, implementation roadmaps, evaluation methodologies, and questionnaires.
• Conduct vendor assessments and develop implementation strategies to facilitate informed decision-making by clients in the pharma, biotech, and agritech fields.
• Evaluate system landscapes and contribute to roadmaps for IT, informatics, and data landscapes.
• Oversee one or more large projects or programs, encompassing estimation, scheduling, risk management, and milestone tracking.
• Facilitate project meetings, provide status updates, and escalate risks as necessary.
• Mentor associates throughout Zifo, supporting their project engagements and professional growth.
• Monitor and track key project metrics to ensure the success of client engagements and adherence to the operational aspects of project delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients and internal stakeholders, managing expectations regarding processes, quality, schedules, and delivery, while maintaining a holistic view of what constitutes a successful engagement.
• Build strong relationships with client managers and facilitate or lead strategic customer meetings.
• Identify opportunities for additional value creation within client organizations and improve internal processes.
• Plan and monitor billable efforts, manage utilization and productivity for themselves and their teams, and assist in budget forecasting.
• Handle escalations, identify and track risks related to project execution, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support internal training initiatives, create training materials, and mentor team members in emerging domains.
• Assist in proposals concerning emerging client opportunities and support RFP responses.
• Contribute to case studies, presentations, and white papers.
• Attend industry conferences for learning, networking, and representing Zifo.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field such as biology, chemistry, chem/bioinformatics, among others.
• Certification in change management (CCMP, ProSci, or similar).
• 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical R&D, biotechnology, or agritech.
• 2-3 years of experience in change management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to drive problem identification activities, influence both internal and external stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Familiarity with leading informatics solutions (e.g., ELN, LIMS) and scientific workflows (e.g., bioanalysis, compound management, medicinal chemistry).
• Understanding of key data concepts within the life sciences industry and their relevance to operational activities and decision-making processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams while managing project deliverables and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong and effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive in problem-solving and adaptable in dynamic environments.
• Desire to further develop leadership skills and take ownership of project outcomes.
• Commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide clarity on problem statements and possible solutions.
• Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to client locations and for internal meetings as required.
