Scala Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain backend services along with custom modules built on the core banking platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, operations, and business stakeholders, to translate banking needs into technical solutions.

• Assess and enhance code quality while adhering to shared engineering standards.

• Develop unit, integration, and property-based tests utilizing ScalaTest, ScalaMock, and ScalaCheck.

• Optimize performance by identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks across services.

• Conduct troubleshooting and debugging by analyzing and resolving production issues using Splunk logs and metrics.

• Manage documentation by maintaining API specifications generated from code via OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Scala development.

• Mid-level proficiency - capable of independently designing and implementing features from requirements to production.

• Familiarity with Kafka and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with microservice architecture and Kubernetes.

• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach - you will engage directly with business stakeholders.
