SAP Testing Lead

📋 Description

• Develop and execute the comprehensive SAP testing strategy for initiatives such as SAP implementation, SAP upgrades, and transitions from ECC to S/4HANA.

• Define the scope, approach, timelines, and deliverables for testing.

• Establish entry and exit criteria along with quality gates for each phase of testing.

• Create and maintain test plans, schedules, and governance frameworks for testing.

• Lead testing activities throughout various phases, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and Performance Testing.

• Manage the test cycles, defect tracking, and reporting processes.

• Collaborate with functional, technical, and integration teams.

• Spearhead the implementation and utilization of automation through testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca.

• Design automation frameworks specific to SAP modules.

• Identify high-priority regression scenarios suitable for automation.

• Promote risk-based testing and model-based automation methodologies.

• Oversee the defect lifecycle using tools including Jira, ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, and Qtest.

• Ensure that defects are prioritized, tracked, and effectively resolved.

• Provide analytics regarding defects and conduct root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with business process owners, functional consultants, technical teams, and integration partners, while delivering regular updates on test status and quality metrics to leadership.

• Coordinate the readiness of test environments.

• Oversee the preparation and refresh cycles of test data.

• Ensure the integrity and security of data during testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in SAP testing.

• 3–5+ years of experience in a Test Lead or Test Manager position.

• U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain a NASA Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience in supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementations.

• Familiarity with testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca, SAP Solution Manager, Jira, or comparable platforms.

• Proven experience in developing and managing regression testing strategies.

• Experience conducting integration testing across both SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Strong communication skills with stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability in team leadership and mentoring.

• Experience in quality assurance governance and risk management practices.

• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Experience with test automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of risk-based testing approaches.

• Experience in validating data migration activities.

• Experience in testing APIs and system interfaces.
