SAP MDG Material Master Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate business process workshops to collect requirements and establish governance processes for Material Master.

• Design and set up SAP MDG-M data models, governance workflows, and user interfaces.

• Configure components for SAP MDG Data Modeling, UI Modeling (FPM), and Process Modeling.

• Set up Change Request workflows and approval processes for managing the Material Master lifecycle.

• Create validation, derivation, and business rules utilizing SAP BRF+.

• Define and execute Material Master governance policies, standards, and stewardship procedures.

• Configure the Data Replication Framework (DRF) for master data distribution across integrated SAP environments.

• Provide support for integrations through IDocs, SOA Services, and Web Services.

• Work collaboratively with SAP MM, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and technical teams.

• Prepare documentation for configuration, functional specifications, and solution design.

• Conduct unit and integration testing and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Diagnose production issues and offer post-go-live support.

• Engage in release planning, transport, and deployment processes.

• Suggest enhancements for data governance procedures and master data quality.

• Occasionally travel to client locations to provide on-site assistance.

• Participate in quality assurance efforts and ensure the protection of sensitive information in line with security policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience with SAP MDG Material Master (MDG-M); 5–7 years of experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• Proven experience in configuring SAP MDG data models, workflows, and governance processes.

• Strong comprehension of SAP Material Master and SAP MM functionalities.

• Experience in configuring BRF+ business rules.

• Familiarity with configuring the Data Replication Framework (DRF).

• Background in supporting SAP integrations using IDocs and Web Services.

• Comprehensive experience throughout the complete SAP implementation lifecycle.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

• Active Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one.

• Preferred experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations.

• Preferred experience in supporting Navy or other Department of Defense SAP environments.

• Preferred experience with federal supply chain or logistics modernization initiatives.

• Familiarity with DoD master data governance policies is preferred.

• SAP MDG certification is preferred.
