SAP FICO Functional Lead – PM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the SAP finance initiative within a discrete manufacturing setting.

• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to implement configuration and enhancements.

• Execute FICO, discrete manufacturing, and SCM implementations while supporting core financial processes.

• Act as project manager for smaller-scale projects.

• Lead a team responsible for the implementation of SAP package software applications through configuration and development.

• Facilitate workshops to identify system requirements and document outcomes.

• Direct projects, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery.

• Configure FI, CO, and related SAP modules.

• Generate functional specifications for technical development.

• Proactively identify and address technical and operational challenges.

• Monitor and report on project advancements and financial metrics.

• Encourage continuous improvement and learning.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

• Promote teamwork and effective communication.

• Build and maintain long-term executive relationships through billable advisory services.

• Manage the full lifecycle implementation of FI, CO, and associated SAP modules for discrete manufacturing and Made-to-Order processes utilizing variant configuration.

• Provide support post-implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, or a comparable mix of education and experience.

• 8+ years of pertinent industry experience.

• At least 3+ years in a similar capacity.

• Relevant expertise in software engineering and management.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in team management and executing software projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of package applications.

• Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Experience facilitating requirements sessions and workshops.

• Experience leading a project while acting as the FICO lead on a mid-sized company SAP GROW or RISE implementation.

• Familiarity with SAP FICO, FI, CO, discrete manufacturing, SCM, Made-to-Order processes, and variant configuration.

• Capability to work independently in fast-paced environments.

• US citizenship or green card preferred for this position.

• An advanced degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA, is an advantage.
