SAP Data Conversion Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage the entire SAP data conversion process, including extraction planning, mapping, loading, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.

• Conduct master and transactional data uploads into SAP utilizing SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, ETL, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Inquire, and other authorized tools.

• Oversee the design, testing, documentation, and consistent execution of migration objects, templates, and loading procedures.

• Track progress, risks, defects, dependencies, and the readiness of data objects and migration cycles.

• Contribute to the development of conversion strategies, scope, objects, cycles, loading methods, and readiness criteria for cutover.

• Facilitate data mapping workshops with functional teams in Finance, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain, and other departments.

• Document the source-to-target mapping, transformation rules, ownership, cleansing, validation, and approvals.

• Collaborate with client IT, ERP, and legacy systems regarding extraction formats, structures, mapping logic, and load sequencing.

• Assist with pre- and post-load validations, ensuring the business retains ownership of quality, cleansing, and formal validation processes.

• Coordinate efforts among functional consultants, Basis, technical and integration teams, PMO, data owners, client IT, and legacy stakeholders.

• Provide status updates, escalate risks and issues, manage dependencies, and deliver readiness updates.

• Establish alignment on data ownership, validation duties, approval criteria, sign-offs, and cutover decisions.

• Execute loads during cutover, oversee final validations, and address data issues during deployment.

• Verify the completion of master data migration, open transactional items, balances, and other relevant objects.

• Assist with final reconciliation and obtain formal business approval prior to going live.

• Transfer mapping, procedures, and loading expertise to client IT and Reply teams.

• Support post-go-live stabilization, defect triage, and further knowledge transfers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient or fluent English is required.

• Experience or knowledge in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud data conversion and migration.

• Familiarity with SAP Migration Cockpit and LTMC.

• Understanding of ETL, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and Inquire.

• Capability to work with both master and transactional data.

• Knowledge of source-to-target mapping and transformation rules.

• Ability to facilitate mapping workshops with functional areas.

• Strong analytical abilities and logical reasoning skills.

• Capacity to operate independently with minimal oversight.

• Effective communication skills in multicultural settings.
