SAP Basis Administrator, Freelancer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop non-production SAP HANA environments on AWS.

• Install SAP HANA, implement patches, configure system parameters, and optimize each environment.

• Establish backup, recovery, and fundamental high availability for non-production systems.

• Oversee transports, user administration, and role provisioning throughout the SAP system landscape.

• Diagnose performance, connectivity, and configuration challenges across SAP and HANA.

• Create documentation of build steps and runbooks for engineering teams.

• Collaborate with US-based engineering leads during PST hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator with practical SAP HANA expertise.

• Proven experience in building and managing non-production SAP landscapes from start to finish.

• Proficient knowledge of AWS, including EC2, EBS, VPC, and IAM.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Must be willing and able to work PST business hours from India.

• Preferred experience in installing or migrating SAP HANA on AWS specifically, not just on-premises.

• Preferred background in S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, or HANA-based analytics workloads.

• Preferred to hold an SAP HANA Technology Associate certification or an AWS certification (SAA, SysOps).

• Preferred experience in scripting Basis tasks using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
