SAP ABAP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, maintain, and provide support for SAP ABAP applications and solutions.

• Execute object-oriented ABAP development in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.

• Assist with ABAP development related to CML/CMS and SAP HANA business processes.

• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable ABAP code.

• Create and uphold ABAP unit tests and automated testing solutions.

• Implement Test Driven Development (TDD) principles in ABAP development.

• Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design activities.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve application-related issues.

• Collaborate with business analysts, functional consultants, developers, QA, and other technical teams.

• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Contribute to both daily operational support and strategic development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP object-oriented development.

• Strong practical experience with ABAP development and programming.

• ABAP training and/or certification is required.

• Experience in developing unit tests within ABAP.

• Practical knowledge of ABAP Test Driven Development (TDD).

• Capability to develop clean and testable ABAP code.

• Completion of the openSAP course “Writing Testable Code” or equivalent knowledge/experience.

• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.

• Ability to function effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
