This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Develop, maintain, and improve sanctions governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide expert analysis and interpretation of sanctions and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulatory requirements, ensuring that Binance’s policies and controls remain strong and current.
• Support the creation and implementation of compliance monitoring and testing programs focused on sanctions governance within a second line of defense environment.
• Identify, assess, and document compliance risks related to sanctions across Binance’s global operations, offering actionable recommendations to mitigate these risks.
• Collaborate closely with Compliance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to integrate sanctions governance and policy standards into business processes and controls.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and internal policy changes, assessing their impact on Binance’s sanctions compliance program and suggesting necessary updates.
• Assist in evaluating and enhancing the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) risk profile concerning sanctions, supporting related projects, policy reviews, and system improvements.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives and knowledge-sharing forums to remain informed about evolving sanctions regulations, enforcement trends, and industry best practices.
• Support project management activities related to sanctions governance and policy initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance or financial crime compliance, preferably in an international setting.
• University degree or equivalent qualification.
• ACAMS or ACFCS certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills, good writing capabilities, and sound judgment.
• Basic understanding of the FCC domain, relevant processes, and associated technology.
• Some experience or interest in supporting strategic initiatives and compliance oversight.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and locations.
• Pragmatic, energetic, and enthusiastic about learning.
• Shows learning agility with a critical and innovative mindset.
• Capable of fostering positive relationships and motivating others.
• People-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
