đź“‹ Description

• The Sales Territory Manager (STM) is tasked with driving order intake, revenue expansion, and enhancing market share within a designated territory via the formulation and implementation of strategic sales initiatives.

• This position emphasizes direct interaction with end users, OEM field sales representatives, and channel partners to pinpoint opportunities, offer solutions, and finalize transactions across Yamato’s automatic, semi-automatic, checkweigher, industrial, and tray line product offerings.

• The STM is pivotal in reinforcing customer relationships, enhancing pipeline visibility through regular CRM utilization, and collaborating across departments to provide top-notch customer solutions.

• Achieve Sales Objectives & Territory Performance: Meet or surpass annual order intake (OIT) and KPI benchmarks for the designated territory. Collaborate with the Sales Manager North America to devise and implement territory-specific sales strategies in line with the North American sales plan.

• Employ methodologies such as SPIN Selling, Miller Heiman, and Sandler to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

• Maintain a well-rounded sales approach that emphasizes direct end-user engagement while facilitating OEM opportunities.

• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business avenues within targeted industries and accounts.

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with end users, OEMs, and key decision-makers.

• Actively oversee the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

• Use Salesforce as the principal CRM platform to manage the territory pipeline, monitor opportunities, and aid in forecasting.

• Keep accurate, up-to-date opportunity data in accordance with sales standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Organize customer meetings and presentations, and assist with demonstrations to effectively showcase Yamato solutions.

• Collaborate with sales project management, applications engineering, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on the optimal technical solution for the customer.

• Assist in coordinating activities across departments to deliver a smooth customer experience.


⛳️ Requirements

• Residency within the territory is preferred.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• 5–10 years of sales experience is essential, preferably in capital equipment, packaging machinery, or a related sector.

• Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close deals.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated capability to build relationships and influence key decision-makers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Epicor (or similar ERP) is preferred.

• Technical aptitude and the ability to comprehend engineered solutions.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Capability to endure short durations in cold, damp, or warm environments during customer/prospect visits.

• Ability to ascend ladders and mezzanines averaging 15 feet in height.

• Willingness to travel at least 51%, with occasional international travel as required.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain insurance are necessary.

• A valid passport is required for international travel.
