This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Engage in consultative selling by articulating product details, identifying customer needs and requirements, and recommending Avantor solutions to potential clients.
• Utilize resources to implement the company’s marketing strategies, plans, and sales processes effectively.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with sales management to create strategic business plans for the territory aimed at achieving sales growth and meeting quota targets.
• Oversee Avantor’s product portfolio while executing company sales and marketing initiatives.
• Identify and establish new customer relationships by managing a sales pipeline and creating value-proposition proposals.
• Enhance Avantor’s presence with existing clients through retention strategies that align with changing customer needs.
• Represent Avantor and foster strong relationships with manufacturers.
• Collaborate with local manufacturer representatives to enhance product knowledge, secure competitive pricing, and boost account profitability.
• Partner with researchers, scientists, procurement professionals, sales representatives, and specialists across the Raleigh-Durham territory and selected accounts in Eastern North Carolina.
• A college degree or equivalent relevant experience; a degree in the sciences is preferred.
• Ideally, 3–5 years of experience in a complex, solution-oriented sales environment involving multiple decision-makers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Teams.
• Experience with CRM systems and QlikSense is preferred.
• Background in laboratory or research environments, distribution experience, and/or a scientific background is desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills when interacting with customers, manufacturers, and staff.
• Capability to conduct business discussions with business owners and decision-makers.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing time and territory effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills and a strategic selling approach within an account.
• Understanding of individual customer operations is essential.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations at least 4 days per week.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
