This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take responsibility for regional sales achievements, including revenue, volume, and margin.
• Formulate and implement a unique commercial strategy that balances contract exposure.
• Enhance the portfolio mix for improved performance.
• Spearhead the commercial strategy for core segments, SMEs, and distribution channels.
• Navigate the complexities of global supply and demand, logistics challenges, and trade competitiveness.
• Optimize decision-making regarding allocation in constrained markets to maximize value.
• Cultivate relationships with key regional and multinational clients, as well as regional resellers and distributors.
• Lead intricate contract negotiations.
• Manage and optimize distributor networks where applicable.
• Establish and maintain pricing governance that aligns with global standards and regional conditions.
• Ensure disciplined execution of price adjustments, surcharges, and contract renewals.
• Collaborate closely with finance to track contribution margins and overall profitability.
• Define clear KPIs and foster accountability.
• Work alongside supply chain and operations teams on demand planning, allocation, and service reliability.
• Partner with finance, credit, and trade departments to create commercially viable agreements while addressing hyperinflation, currency fluctuations, and import/export regulations.
• Coordinate with product management to align on portfolio strategies and innovation priorities.
• Utilize existing networks to support logistics optimization for both domestic and export flows.
• Lead effective demand forecasting and provide sales & operations planning inputs.
• Deliver actionable insights regarding competitor activities, pricing trends, and end-market demand.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in industrial minerals, chemicals, or related commodity markets; extensive experience with bulk commodities is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing large, contract-intensive B2B accounts in cyclical or supply-constrained environments.
• Strong expertise in Latin American markets, including a thorough understanding of intra-regional trade flows, export dynamics, and multi-currency settings. Experience with ocean freight and bulk logistics is advantageous.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese as a second language is highly desirable.
